Cancellation Policy

Relief Guru shall not act or be held liable as an interested party in the event that a dispute arises. Relief Guru shall attempt to impose penalties for cancellation, however, shall not be held liable for failure to enforce penalties. If a Professional cancels a shift on short notice, the Pharmacy has the option to repost the shift on the app. However, Relief Guru cannot guarantee that the reposted shift will be accepted or completed. If a Professional is double-booked to work for a Business, and the Business declines to utilize the Professional’s services, it will be deemed a cancellation of the shift. In such cases, the cancellation fees outlined in the Cancellation Policy section shall apply.

The Business may cancel a Shift as follows:

a. By providing notice of cancellation in writing to the Professional and Relief Guru a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the scheduled Shift, which shall result in no Fees owing;

b. By providing notice of cancellation more than four (4) days but less than fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the scheduled Shift, which may result in 50% of the Professional Fees owing, Relief Services Fee, and applicable taxes; or

c. By providing notice of cancellation less than four (4) days prior to the date of the scheduled Shift or no notice of cancellation, which may result in the full Fees being owing.

The Professional may cancel a Shift as follows:

a. By providing notice of cancellation of the Shift to the Business and Relief Guru a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the Shift, which shall result in no penalty;

b. By providing notice of cancellation of the Shift more than four (4) days but less than fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the Shift, which may result in a penalty of up to $250.00; or

c. By providing notice of cancellation of the Shift less than four (4) days prior to the date of the Shift, which may result in a penalty of up to $550.00.

d. If notice of cancellation of the Shift is not provided to the Business and Relief Guru, a penalty of up to $550.00 may be charged.

If the Professional wishes to cancel a Shift less than 14 days prior to the date of the Shift, they may utilize the swap Shift feature within the Application. If another Professional claims the Shift, the original Professional will no longer be liable for the above cancellation fee. If the Shift goes unclaimed, the Professional shall either work the Shift or pay the corresponding cancellation fee.

No cancellation fee will be charged if:

a. The Shift is accepted or scheduled and cancelled within one hour of the acceptance or scheduling; or

b. If the Professional is sick and able to provide a mandatory doctor’s note
